Frankenstein

So Christian is taking more and more steps. Daycare says he walks around all day and that he'll probably be running by Christmas! We are in trouble!!!!! I love watching him try to walk, it is so cute when he keeps his arms in the air so that he can keep his balance. We always make fun of him and say that he's doing the frankenstein. Here is a recent video of him walking.

Dewberry Farm

Over the weekend we took Christian to Dewberry Farm. We met his new friend Colin from our playgroup. He played in the haystack, where he had the most fun. Then we took a very bumpy hay ride to a pumpkin patch. However, the day was so hot and Christian had skipped his nap, that by the time we got to the pumpkin patch he was in no mood to pick a pumpkin. He did however get to see and touch some farm animals before we left.
Christian and his new friend Colin talking, what do you think they're saying?
Christian is ready to play in the hay stack Ready, set, go!

Christian trying to figure out what this stuff is

Christian are you trying to hide from mama under all that hay?

Christian is really having fun!

Christian was so exhausted after the farm that he fell asleep as soon as he left the farm and didn't wake up till we got home.

Christian's First Halloween Costume

We decided that we would have Christian try his halloween costume on a little early to make sure it fits. He struggled to find his balance and was not a very happy camper, but he still wanted to ride his favorite little bike. So here are the pictures of our little Godzilla, coming soon to terrorize a home near you!

One very unhappy Godzilla!!!

It was time to get Christian out of his costume!

Christian's first steps

Christian took his first steps today!!!! He has been cruising on furniture for a while now and would take maybe one or two small steps but that was all. I guess this morning he woke up and thought I think I'll try to walk today. It was so cute. I missed the first steps but here are two videos of him later that morning.

Peek A Boo

Natural Museum of Science

Last Saturday, October 11, we decided to go the Museum of Natural Science. It has this great butterfly exhibit we thought would be great for Christian. There are literally hundereds of different species of butterflies just fluttering around, some even landing inches from your face. I don't think I've ever seen such beautiful butterflies and Christian really seemed to like it. Now, I know that in some of the pictures it looks like Christian is just about to pluck the wings off of the butterflies, but I promise although we let him get close, he never actually touched the butterflies:0).

It had a great waterfall right in the middle

Christian is looking up at all the butterfiles fluttering above
Christian takes it all in

Yes, this is a real butterfly....huge!!!!

No rain on my parade...

On October 4, our neighborhood held a parade to kick off national night out. Many parents brought their children out in strollers, wagons, and bicycles to participate in the parade and hand out candy to on lookers. It was a beautiful day for a parade and Christian had a lot of fun.
Christian wondering when the parade is going to startCan I just wave and keep the candy for myself?

And they're off!

Christian you should be passing out the candy, not eating it!!!!
Daddy helps Christian throw candy to spectators
Christian having second thoughts about not keeping the candy
Christian enjoying the ride while Daddy does all the work

By the end of the parade Christian was ready to head home for lunch and a good nap.
