While in North Caroline we decided to take Christian to the zoo. Although it was a long drive to get there, it was definetly worth it! The zoo was one of the nicest I've been to. Supposedly it is one of the best in the nation and I think the zoo that has the biggest natural habitats. Everything was so open and natural. The down side to that was that it was a lot of walking and a lot of hills!!!!! Christian didn't mind because he was in his stroller for most of the walking parts. Christian was so excited to see all of the animals and he had lots of fun! Here are some pictures from our Zoo adventure.
Christian and Daddy on the bridge that leads to the zoo. Christian is about to start his zoo adventure. This zoo is so big that they have it broken up into Africa and North American continents with a bus that takes you in between the two places. Here is Christian and Daddy at the entrance to Africa. You can see the giraffes in the background, they were one of the first animals we saw and one of Christian's favorite animals. At this zoo they kept the giraffes, zebras, and ostriches all together.Christian playing in the tunnels at the zoo Kid ZoneChristian and Daddy with the elephantsWe got really lucky and were able to see the elephant play in the water and it was so close to us that we kept thinking he would spray water on us! This was my favorite thing we saw all day and I know Christian loved it because he kept asking for "more" while signing "elephant and water"
Christian watching as the bobcats roam around It was nice to see all the animals in such a natural environment and with so much spaceChristian takes time out to pose with the monkeys:) This gorilla was camera shy and kept hiding its face but that made him looking even cuter!Christian loved the gorillas and kept asking for "more" Christian loved looking at the Sea lions swimming so close to himThe flamingos or "mingos" as Christian calls them Daddy giving Christian a better look at the "mingos"
